Waiste-to-Hip Ratio
Here is another way to determine if you are overweight, it’s called the “Waiste-to-Hip Ratio.” It is simple and you can do it at home. Just measure your Hip and then measure your Waist( in line with your belly button). Here is the formula:
Waist level ÷ Hip level
Here is an example: Lets say that I have a Hip measurement of 41 inches and a waist measurement of 39 inches.
39 ÷ 40 = .975 – This is not to bad, but you want your ratio to be under .92
