Cardio Cardio exercises and losing weightCardiovascular exercise is important for weight loss. It is about getting the heart rate higher so that it can pump blood faster into the heart which will result in hard breathing and eventually burn more calories. A cardio workout helps to get the body moving and in turn burns fat. Experts suggest that every adult should get about 30-40 minutes of cardio workout at least five times a week, if not more.

Before starting any cardio program, we need to consult a doctor who can evaluate our current health condition and can advice. There are many cardio exercises which we can do at home with little or no equipment at all. The most important benefit of doing cardio exercise is that we can burn a lot of calories when compared to other exercises.

Do not eat anything before walking otherwise it will create problems in the body.

We should alternate between high-impact and low-impact cardio exercises like running and walking. The second part of cardio workout should include some stretching exercise to increase flexibility.

Running is an excellent calorie burner. Human body is naturally designed to walk and run. Cardio workout is the healthiest and the most effective way to shed those unwanted fat. Exercise is important to keep the body in good shape and maintain the weight. The best workout for weight loss is any exercise that we can do on a regular basis. While choosing an exercise for weight loss ensure it is a good mix of both types.  If you want to challenge yourself even more than you want to try Interval training.

What Are HCG Injections?

I recently was made aware of this drug called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) when I heard that one of my friends was using it to lose weight.  My friend has always been a larger person, not fat, but built pretty well.  However, In the last couple years this person started to gain weight because of some unfortunate circumstances in their life.  There are many people who go through rough times that try to cope with their situations by eating.

This friend made the choice to buy these HCG Injections and has already lost a ton of weight.  Before I knew anything about the drug, I asked my friend about it and he told me that you have to inject it.  Of course I was totally thrown off and completely cautious when I heard that my friend was injecting himself with a drug for weight lose.  I have never been a believer in taking pills, or injections for weight loss…in fact, I am strongly against it. I immediately went home and started researching this drug called HCG.  Here is what I’ve found:

Human chorionic gonadotropin, or HCG, is a hormone produced during pregnancy, found in the blood and excreted through urine. HCG injections are prescribed to treat infertility by causing ovulation in women and increasing sperm count in men. Recently, people started to use it to help with losing weight, but there has been no research supporting the theory that HCG injections are good for this purpose. When you are on the HCG injections, you are supposed to be on a 500 calorie per day diet. Most people credit the weight loss to the diet plan.

hcg injections What Are HCG Injections?There are many effects on the body that can occur from taking HCG injections. Here are some of those effects…pelvic pain, abdominal swelling, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, swelling of the hands or legs, weight gain, difficulty breathing and urinating less than normal, blood clotting, welling, warmth, redness, and numb or tingling sensations in an arm or leg.

The problem with taking HCG Injections, is that you will actually gain weight once you get off of it, and probably a lot more weight then when you first started.

Christmas Eating

This is just another friendly reminder to watch your eating habits during this holiday season.  There is no need to throw out your whole nutrition and workout plan because there are tons of Christmas parties going on.  You must continue to remain strong and continue to control your weight during this season.  So here are a couple of reminders on how to keep that weight off.

leftover candy canes by SpacePotato 300x225 Christmas EatingThe first and most important thing to do is to keep up with your workout routine.  This will help you continue to burn calories and keep your metabolism running.  If you fail to do your workout routine, you might pack on some unwanted pounds that you will have to work off later.  It’s better to keep the weight off now then trying to burn it all off all over again.

Eat before the parties.  This is important, because many people go to parties with an empty stomach, and guess what they fill there stomachs with at the party.  Yep…egg nog, chocolates, fudge, candy, fried foods, cookies, and many other unhealthy foods.  So do yourself a favor and eat before you go to a Christmas party.

Eat small portions.  This will help your metabolism run at a consistent rate.  Do not bog your system down with big and heavy meals, but eat smaller portions throughout the day.  Try eating slower too, let your body have time to tell your brain that you are full, do not stuff yourself quickly.

So Hopefully these few tips can help you and remind you to look at the overall goal. To keep your weight off during the holiday seasons.
