The Turbo Fire Workouts

By FitnessDude · Comments (0)
Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

This is going to be an in depth article about the workouts for the Turbo Fire Workout. As you might know, the TurboFire workout comes with 10 workouts, but these workouts are set up differently than other workouts. So let me tell you about how these Turbo Fire workouts work. Turbo Fire is split into a couple different series of workouts. You’ve got your “Fire” series and your “HIIT” series, there are also a couple sculpting/toning workouts and a stretch workout.

The number in each title designates the class length.

The “Fire” series:
Fire 30 Class/Stretch 10 Class
– This workout consists of punching and kicking, but also involves some plyometric training. There is a great stretching session too.
Fire 55 EZ Class/Stretch 10 Class – This is the longest Fire class that you will be doing. This workout will bring you to a total sweat, helping you melt off that fat. There is also a stretching class following this workout to help your muscles and help you cool down.
Fire 45 Class/Stretch 10 Class – Along with the stretching workout at the end, you will be punching kicking and even dancing in this workout.
Fire 45 EZ Class/Stretch 10 Class – This will not be the same as the other fire drills, but you will still sweat like crazy in this workout.

The “HIIT” Series – HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
HIIT 15 Class/Stretch 10 Class
HIIT 20 Class/Stretch 10 Class
HIIT 25 Class/Stretch 10 Class

With all the “HIIT” classes you will be doing High interval training. Many of the drills that you will be doing are the Fire drills, but at a much more intense pace. Even though these classes are shorter, you will probably be more challenged during these workouts than any others.

Other Turbo Fire workouts:
Core 20 Class/Stretch 40 Class/Stretch 10 Class – Workout the Core with Chalene’s incredible ab routine
Sculpt 30 Class/Tone 30 Class – This is Turbo Fire’s Resistance course, you will be using the sculpting band for this workout.
Stretch 40 Class/Stretch 10 Class – Stretching is key! Make sure to do all your stretching classes including this one.

There is no reason why you should not see major results with the Turbo Fire Workout. Make sure that you are following the nutrition guide to maximize your results, but most of all…Have Fun!

There will also be an article coming soon about the Turbo Fire workout deluxe.

Plyometrics Workouts

By FitnessDude · Comments (0)

If you are looking for a way to really challenge yourself physically and push yourself to the limit, then you will want to incorporate plyotmetrics training in your workout routine.  What is Plyometrics?  Plyometrics is jump training…it is used by professional athletes to gain a competitive edge by gain leg strength that helps speed and vertical jumps.

Do not think because you are not a professional athlete that plyometrics cannot apply to you.  Plyometrics can add that missing element to your workout that can help you shed those unwanted pounds.

Here are some plyometric workouts:

0608 hero box jump 2 Plyometrics WorkoutsThe Box Jump – The box jump is simple.  Place a box against a wall for support; standing on the floor with both feet on the ground, perform a vertical jump up onto the box and then jump immediately back to the ground. Do as many as you can.  You can also try doing different size boxes.  You can try to do this as fast as possible, but make sure you remain in control.

Long Jumps – This is also a very simple, but very affective workout.  Start behind a line; squat down and jump forward as far as you possibly can using a double arm swing. Upon landing, immediately jump forward again.  You may need a lot of room to do this workout. If you are limited on space, you can perform 2 jumps, then turn around and do another 2 jumps.

Barrier Lateral Jumps – Stand with the barrier(something you can jump over, like a stair-stepper or a box) to your side; Jump sideways to opposite side of barrier. Upon landing, immediately jump to other side.

You should really start to see some great results by performing these plyometrics exercises.

Turbo Fire Workout

I wanted to take a moment to talk about a new In-home workout routine that is going to come out in the spring; it is Chalean Johnson’s Turbo Fire Workout. I will be doing a review of the Turbo Fire workout, so you definitely want to read it. Chalene Johnson is a pretty popular personal trainer, who has found huge success in the workout DVD world. She has come out with Turbo Jam Maximum results, Turbo Jam Elite, and Chalene Extreme. Her newest workout, Turbo Fire is supposed to be one of her best workout DVD releases yet.

Here is why I like these workout videos…they allow you to workout at your home. It helps you get rid of the unnecessary membership and monthly payment fees at the gym. I am a firm believer that people do not need a gym to stay in shape, or get in shape. With the right motivation you do not have to spend all that money.

Avenue Six Studios 2010 TurboFire jpeg Best 14b29392dde94dweb4b294000938cc1 Turbo Fire WorkoutSo here is a little info on the Turbo Fire Workout:

Turbo Fire is a high intense workout that involves plyometrics (which I am a big fan of) and cardio bursts called “HIITS”, which means High Intensity Interval Training (which I am also a big fan of). The Turbo Fire is more like Turbo jam, but with more plyometric training and more interval training. Turbo Fire will focus on lengthier intensity bursts and shorter breaks. The Turbo Fire workout is said to be very difficult and very extreme, it is considered a anaerobic workout that will focus on burning your fat and toning your body.

What comes with the Turbo Fire Workout?

The details are still shady but…Supposedly, there is 17 workouts if you get the deluxe version. It will come with a Turbo Fire Nutrition Guide, a Turbo Fire Fitness Guide, 15 Flash Cards, and Turbo Fire Weighted Gloves.

Although the workout is not out yet, you can get information of its release by clicking here…Turbo Fire.

I will also be coming out with more information, as it gets closer to its release date.

What is Plyometric Training?

By FitnessDude · Comments (2)

I wanted to take a quick look into plyometric training so I could let people know about this affective way to workout.  Plyometric training has been around for awhile, since the 1970′s.  It’s only now that people are really starting to catch on to this form of working out.  Plyometric training could also be called jump training, it has been used strongly in the athletic world, especially basketball, football, and volleyball.

plyometricdrill 300x300 What is Plyometric Training?Plyometrics is focused on training people to be faster and stronger.  Plyometrics will benefit you in helping you to run faster, jump higher, hit harder, and throw farther.  So if you  are a person looking for an edge in sports, then plyometrics is a workout you definitely want to start including in your weekly workout routines.

Pick a day where you can do some plyometric exercises,  and make sure you try to push yourself further every time you do the routine.  With Plyometrics training you will help your muscular system, tendons, and nervous system.  You will learn how to react quickly with power, giving you that edge over your opponent.

So whether you are a dynamite professional athlete, or an average Joe athlete, plyometrics can help you excel in your sport.
