An unhealthy habit no matter how small it may seem when coupled with another one will make you slip out of focus. Changing a bad habit is never easy. You have to give up a routine that you have been used to all your life. But think of what your sacrifice will give you afterward.
Last…is failing to enjoy. When you feel that you are deprived of certain things your body releases a hormone called cortisone. Cortisone is a hormone released during stress which decreases our body’s metabolism. When your metabolism is low you burn fewer calories. Don’t forget to enjoy even when you are on a diet. Who says that you cannot eat your favorite anymore? You still can. The key is to do everything in moderation.

People need to realize that it goes beyond a good exercise program and nutritional plan- you need the dedication, desire and discipline to adhere to them for the results to take effect. Just like you said the results are not instant, but people often overlook the quicker effects( better sleep, better mood, increased energy, and such) because they are too focused on the number on the scale.
